- Cooking for SOID. Posted: 30 september 2011 In 2010, Marlene and Peter Indemans, who are good friends of ours, have raised money for SOID by organising charity dinners in their house. This turned out to be very successful and so in the summer of 2011 they have repeated this action. They have organised eleven dinners for which they have done all the cooking themselves. Many friends and relatives have attended the dinners and all of them have enjoyed it. Read more »

- Newsletter november 2010. Posted: 14 november 2010 Last month SOID was visited by Marc and Annemarie. Marc and Annemarie where very pleased with the SOID project and they are already talking about going back to Siem Reap. They are surprised how happy and thankful the children are. “You can feel and sense that these children missed love and attention in there short live”. SOID
- is a small local project in the slums of Siem Reap, Cambodia. In 2006 SOID built a small school to give free Khmer and English classes to 130 children from the nearby slums of Veal Village. The children who live there are too poor to go to government school as they have to pay a fee to get into the classroom, so SOID provides them with an opportunity to get an education, as it's classes are completely free. All Veal Village families are even given free rice and health checks as an incentive for parents to send their children to school rather than out to work. SOID also takes care of 8 orphaned or abandoned children at a small orphanage in Siem Reap. The children are looked after by the founder and director Vanna Sok with the help of his house-keeper Han. The children are sent to government school through the help of sponsorship from foreign donors.
